General Hints & Tips
Dirty Power Supply Connectors
From the Ten-Tec Reflector March 10, 2000 Generally, when a rig is here for trade-in or service and acting flaky due to a possible power supply issue, one of the first things our techs will do is clean out the power supply connectors on the end of the PS cable and/or the one panel mounted inside the radio. It's amazing how many radios will spring back to from life from "dead" or erratic just by doing this. We use DeoxIT DN5 spray cleaner for this purpose - it's not cheap but it works great.
