 +====== Loose Pre-selector Fix ======
 +**From the Ten-Tec Reflector February 22, 2000**

 +The simplest fix for a loose pre selector tuning control is the felt pad behind the knob.  I bought a card full of them at the local hardware store.  They usually have adhesive on one side for sticking to the bottom of furniture legs or lamp bases.  I use a paper punch and put a 1/4" hole in the center of a smaller pad and stick it to the back of the knob and then re install the knob firmly against the panel.  It sure beats taking the radio apart.

 +I have an Omni-C with a preselector that would slip from its 40 meter setting down toward 80 meters.  Gravity, I think.

 +Well, I just tried Gerald's method almost to the letter.  The only thing I did differently was to put the sticky side of the little felt pad on the panel itself.  That way, if there is any wear it will be to the back of the knob instead of to the paint on the panel.

 +It works GREAT!
