Titan III Model 417A
Description
The TITAN III is a 1500 watt output QSK amplifier. It covers all ham bands including WARC, 160 through 15 meters. 10 and 12 meters can be added with authorized modification. The amplifier uses a pair of Russian-made GU-74B tubes.
The TITAN III uses a heavy duty power supply with a 46 pound transformer, step-start inrush protection, separate transformer for screen supply, and screen grid current regulation.
The TITAN III provides full time metering of plate current, and switchable metering of plate voltage, screen grid current, forward and reverse power. Separate LED bargraph meter provides continuous peak reading power output monitoring.
The Titan III Model 417A was discontinued on November 26, 2008.
