Centaur Cooling Fan Intake Mod

From the Ten-Tec Reflector May 29, 2004

I have found through a little observation that the fan intake grill is too restrictive. The restricted airflow causes the fan blades run in a stalled condition which is inefficient and noisy. I carefully bent each intake rib on the case up about 45 degrees. This increases the intake area and smooths the air flow. A pair of worn (smooth) needle nose pliers was used to bend each slat. The appearance is uniform with little sign of paint stress.

Bottom line, the exhaust is 10 degrees cooler then stock, and a little quieter.
